Description

Scottish Ales traditionally used a long boil time to caramelize the wort, giving the beer a sweet, caramel flavor. This kit uses a healthy dose of Caramel malts to replicate that process.

5 of 5 My favorite June 21, 2020

This is my favorite Rite Brew kit.   Smooth and malty.  Everyone likes it.  After all the IPA's and high hops it's the malty brew I'm liking more and more...

4 of 5 Good, but let's make it a 90 September 14, 2016

This is a very tasty brew.  However, I wish it had just a li'l more punch in both flavor and potency (redundant, I know).  When I brew it again, I'll try to amp it up a bit.

4 of 5 Good beer! May 28, 2015
Reviewer: Jim Vaughan from Appleton, WI United States
This was the first attempt at brewing beer in my life and I cant wait to brew again. My neighbors wife had purchased a sampler case of award winning beers for him and his words were that "it beats at least 75% of them and if you have another bottle I would be very happy to have it".....I gave him two! I am happy to say that I will be racking plenty of this in the future to ensure a continuous flow.

I've brewed this beer twice. Both times it has been delicious. Definitely a crowd pleaser. The keg never lasts long enough!
