As with other Mangrove Jacks pouches, the fermentation went perfectly (I went with 14 days instead of 10), and the end product was very alcoholic. I got close to around 10%, by changing the 2.5 pounds of sugar to 5 pounds.
Currants taste somewhat like an earthy, sour strawberry, and it's just this and raspberry as the flavors, on top of the apple. So you get something that's like a delicious cider-wine. Less acidic than the plain ManGrove Jacks pouch, but much more flavorful. This is my second favorite after Pear and Strawberry.
