Fermentation on untoasted American Oak shavings and Merlot Winery Grape Skins adds intense tannins to round out the concentrated nose of blackberries and black pepper.

After reading good reviews on this kit, we decided to spend the extra money and give it a try. The wine skins, makes this wine was a little more complicated to make. Upon bottling we were wondering if we had made a mistake with this purchase. Had bitter taste and just not very good. A  month or so later, it was like magic. A great bold wine with complex flavors. My wife loves it.
