We took our Sierra Nevada Pale Ale clone recipe, well known for its late additions of Cascade hops, and swapped out the Cascade for Citra. A great way to discover the unique aroma of Citra hops if you havent already.

  • IBU: 33 - ABV: 5.2%
  • Makes 5 gallons. Bottle caps and priming sugar not included
  • Liquid yeast alternative: Omega OYL-004

1oz Perle hops60 minute boil

brewed as per instructions.  Four weeks in primary only, fermenting at the lowest temp range the yeast could stand.  OG came in low at 1.048 but FG dropped to 1.008 by the time it was all said and done.  Cooler fermentation led to a clean, crisp and refreshing pale ale that's easy to drink at 5.25%.  Slight palish aroma, crisp forward with hop flavor coming through in the end.  The citra hops add a uniqueness to this sierra Nevada Pale Ale clone.  Definitely worth a try!
