This is now my go-to yeast, after having so-so results with the other usual dry yeasts (US05, etc).  If I am doing a traditional European lager, I work with something that gives more of that lager bite, like WLP 830.  But for most kinds of American Lager or Ale styles, this yeast is a beast.  Don't let the "lager" in the name fool you... you can make a decent lager with it, but it really shines making pales and IPAs that are fermented around 55F.  Try it: trust me, you'll love it.  Clean, crisp, flocs nicely and lets hope aromas dominate.

I've use this on two occasions -- a lower gravity lager and a repitch of the yeast into a high gravity bock. It's a reasonable attenuator, fairly clean without a lot of diacetyl or sulfur. I think I was getting something like 75% AA on the bock. It could be a nice general purpose lager yeast, but it's not as malty as some. I could make a very nice helles, German pils, maibock, etc, but for the malty things I'd probably opt for a liquid yeast unless dry is your only option.

The times I've used it, I did always end up using gelatin since it just doesn't want to clear fully. Subtle fruity esters that fade with lagering.

Did a split batch with the this yeast and Mangrove Jacks M84. Took this yeast 24 hours to start. Haven't gotten to tasting but the start was nice and hopefully the taste will be also.
