This shank is very high quality and definitely worth the extra few bucks.  No worrying about picking out pieces of chrome flakes from your brews.

For a mere $2 more you get SS all around (if you got SS faucets). Definitely an easy decision for me and one I'm glad I made. As the other reviewer mentioned, these have a very nice finish which the picture doesn't do justice. Make sure to get the shank wrench - it makes installation a lot easier.

These shanks are priced very well and are "Krome Dispense" brand, which is a reliable company. The shanks in the photo have a rough finish, the shanks I received have a polished finish. You may prefer one or the other to match other shanks in your system, which is why I felt the need to point this out. It may be that they come in two finishes, so I would check with them if you have a preference.
