5 of 5 Great for 10 gallon brews December 16, 2020

So far I've used this flask to make 8-10 large starters. The borosilicate glass can be heated directly on my glass stove top, and the large size helps prevent boil overs. The best price around.

5 of 5 It's a large flask. March 31, 2014

This thing has been great for large starters (such as lagers or heavier beers).  It's borosilicate, so I've been able to boil on my stove top with it, and then immediately place it into a sink full of ice water.

May not fit on your refrigerator shelf, so beware!  I have a chest freezer I can use to cold crash my starter.

5 of 5 edited, best price for this February 19, 2014

I got a crack in this one during the growth of the starter during my first use   Not sure how it happened but it was faulty glass.  I only give it 3 stars because it wasn't ritebrew's fault .  I've had other flasks last for years

Edit. Ritebrew made this right. The flask was replaced with a higher quality flask,  the manufacturer noted the issue and increased the glass thickness in the neck of the flask.  This is must have for lagers.
