5 of 5 Good quality, many uses per bag April 14, 2020

I have used these for mini/partial mash's, simple grain steeping and just recently dry hopping directly in the keg.
Works excellent all around, easily reusable when using for lighter grains. Used it for roasted grains in one batch, I think the color/staining may not come out in that case (may bleed out in another use) so I just tossed the bag since I had gotten 3 uses prior to that use

2 of 5 Probably Not Using Again September 24, 2012
Reviewer: Anonymous Person
I used these to hold the hops when during the boil when making an IPA and usually the whole kitchen would smell of hops but this time there was nothing. When I opened the package of hops they smelt fine but I don't think the bags let any of the oils through. The bags were very thick and didn't seem very permeable. I will attempt another beer with these bags to verify that it is the bags, not the hops. On the other hand, I did wrap this bag around my auto-siphon and it did a good job of acting like a filter. So I guess there's that.

RiteBrew comments:  We agree.  For maximum hop utilization, we do not recommend using a hop bag at all.

4 of 5 Very good September 15, 2012

Use these bags for steeping grains, as I have a nylon hop bag.  Have used one bag for four batches so far, and has no signs of wearing out.  Very good deal for the money.

5 of 5 Great for pellet hops April 9, 2012
Reviewer: Mike R from WATERFORD, VA United States
I tried this for the first time this weekend for my Irish stout.  It worked out great as there was only a single hop addition.  Made transferring the wort into the fermenter a piece of cake.
