I made a few dark brews over last winter (4 or 5) and this was my favorite by far. This one also received the best reviews from friends and family. This was also my first try at a partial mash so I am glad everything went okay. Tastes thick and full, a meal in itself, just like it should be. I will make this again!

I racked this to a secondary and added 1 whole split vanilla bean to add some character.  Good beer.
